CASAA timeline: the 2026–27 cycle, concretely

CAA programs use one centralized application: CASAA, run by Liaison. The 2026–27 cycle opened March 10, 2026 and closes February 26, 2027 (11:59 PM ET). But every program sets its own open date and deadline inside that window. Matriculation windows spread across January, May, June, August, September, so the deadlines that matter to you depend on which start you're targeting.

Processing time eats your buffer

• Official transcripts take up to 5 business days to post after Liaison receives them. Your school's own processing adds time, especially near semester end.
• After your application reaches Complete status, verification takes up to 10 business days, and programs generally review only verified applications.
• Net effect: submit at least 2–3 weeks before any deadline you care about. Liaison itself recommends 6–8 weeks of margin. These stated processing times are normal-load maximums; deadline-season queues can run longer.

Program deadlines span June to February

Across the 30-campus directory, posted deadlines currently run from June 1, 2026 (University of Missouri–Kansas City — Kansas City) to February 26, 2027 (Indiana University School of Medicine — Indianapolis). Examples across the range:

Posted deadlines are ceilings, not guarantees: Emory states explicitly that it closes applications early once it reaches capacity (last cycle: 2,438 applications for an entering class of up to 42). Where Casper is required, it has its own cutoff (Case Western's final sitting for this cycle is November 12, 2026). NSU requires GRE/MCAT scores received by the program deadline itself.

Interviews, decisions, deposits

• Interviews run roughly August through February, rolling at nearly all programs: Emory August–February, Case Western August–November (plus December–January), NSU Florida September–February, NSU Denver July–November. Earlier verified application → earlier interview slot.
• Decisions are rolling at most programs. Case Western notifies all remaining applicants by early February and extends alternate (waitlist) offers February through May as seats open. That is a Case-specific pattern, not a universal rule.
• Deposits come due fast: $1,250 at UNM (non-refundable), $1,500 within one week at Ohio Dominican (credited to tuition), commitment within two weeks at Emory. Budget for this at acceptance time.
