Yes — CAAs are licensed in Missouri.
Missouri licenses AAs through the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts under RSMo 334.400–334.430 (since 2003). You must hold active NCCAA certification and practice under a written supervision agreement with an anesthesiologist, who may direct at most four AAs at once.

Enacted 2003 (H.B. 390 / S.B. 300, eff. Aug. 28, 2003); § 334.400 amended by S.B. 788 (2008), which set the current four-concurrent-AA supervision limit. Statute requires graduation from an accredited AA program, passage of the NCCAA certifying exam, and maintenance of active certification. No 2025-26 Missouri legislation affecting AA practice was found.
